“Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy.” -Dale Carnegie
By going on this trip I hope to set the pace and encourage people to go out and do things that make them happy and find confidence within themselves.
Today I went up to Lake Arrowhead and learned how to fix some different things on my bike for those many hick-ups that are bound to happen. I also want to send a special thanks to Mike from Wake and Wheels Bike shop and Steve Engelgau for donating new tires for me for my trip. I really appreciate it and every little thing makes a huge difference for me!
I received some waterproof clothes I ordered for the wet biking days through Washington and Oregon. Tomorrow I’ll be heading up to the mountain to get a lesson in bike repair for speed bumps that I come across on the trip. It’s getting close and I’m getting excited!
So i’ve been training by biking 30 miles every other day so that I dont wear myself out to fast. However, biking the same routes gets less exciting when you do it everytime. Im trying to find some new routes around the same distance or a little longer so hopefully that will help me break the routine and add a little more excitement when riding around the Inland Empire. Any suggestions are welcome!
I just wanted to say thank you for those who have given your support and thank you to those who have been able to donate. We have been able to raise $110 so far and it is just the beginning. Thanks again!
